Simvivor – Episode 1

Debbie: 1 island, 10 castaways and 1 survivor; yes, welcome to the very first episode of Simvivor. Tonight we will see our castaways arriving on the island, an island that they’ll be calling home for the next few weeks. We’ll see them take part in challenges in order to survive on the island. They have no communication with anyone other than themselves. The castaways will take part in different challenges which will determine who will be the leader of the island...



Debbie: ...that leader will then elect two people to be put on the chopping block, then the public, that’s you, will vote to eliminate one of them from the game and the Simvivor island for good. Now the castaways are all safely on the island now, but let’s rewind to yesterday when they all met each other on a luxury boat and spent their first night together.







Kristen: Well my name is Kristen, i’m 21 and i’m from Manchester.



Kristen: Oh My god, this looks amazing.



Kristen: I’m going on this show because recently i’ve been told by my parents and friends that i’m difficult and i “wouldn’t cope in a serious situation”, this will prove them wrong.  It shocked me because they clearly don’t know me at all; i want to show them the real me, and if they were right, i’ll go home and say “you were right”.



David: Hello i’m little old David from East London!



David: Oh gosh, i wouldn’t want to fall down there...



David: I think i’ll be quite nervous at the start of all this because we’re being thrown somewhere where we have to really uses our survival skills.



David: Hello, my name is David.
Kristen: Alright cocker, i’m Kristen.
David: This boat is pretty nice ain’t it?
Kristen: It’ll probably the life of luxary then we’ll be thrown onto the island.



David: I have a lot of patience so i think i’ll be able to survive quite easily; i’m not one for talking something through before i do it, i just go straight in and don’t consider anyone else.



Stacey: Well it’s actually a funny story you know because my friend tricked me and told me i was applying for a free holiday...but now she tells me it’s a reality thing where we live on an island.
Producer: Sorry, what’s your name?
Stacey: Oh sorry; it’s Stacey!





Stacey: Oh hello there!
Kristen: Woo another girl!
David: Hello what’s your name?
Stacey: It’s Stacey.



Stacey: When you first look at me, i think you see a girly girl with posh spice’s hair style. Well...you’d be right. I live in Rochdale; it’s okay there, as long as you’ve got family and friends surrounded by you what can go wrong?



Josh: Hello i’m Josh and i live in London.



Josh: Oh my god i’m so nervous.
Stacey: Hello love, i’m Stacey, what’s your name?
Josh: Hello, my name is Josh.



Josh: I’m a single dad of one; i think being away from my son will kill me. I’ve never been camping, never been in a tent, never slept outside before, so this will go well i think. When a chance comes forward to do something dark and dangerous i really believe in grabbing them with both hands because experiences like this only come every so often. So i’m prepared for it.



Kayley: Hello there i’m Kayley and i’m from Essex.



Kayley: Hello.
Josh: Wow, welcome, what’s your name?
Kayley: Hello i’m Kayley, what’s your name?
Josh:  My name is Josh.
Stacey: Oh my god you’re gorgeous.
Kayley: Aww thanks, my name is Kayley.



Kayley: I think people definitely stereotype pretty girls, not saying that i’m stunning like, but you know what i mean. The fact of the matter is, i’m not stupid, i don’t let people treat me like an idiot. I hope there’s people in their i can connect with, i hope i’m not stuck in there with a bunch of nobodies (laughs).



Sam: I’m Sam and i’m a bisexual Nursery Teacher from Liverpool.



Sam: Hello, oh my god Kristen!
Kristen: Hiya Sam, how’s it going lad?
Sam: What are you doing here?!
Kristen: Same as you love, i’ve not seen you in ages.
Stacey: I’m Stacey, nice to meet you Sam?
Sam: Hiya Stacey; wow, can’t believe you’re here Kirsten.



Sam: The most interesting thing about me is that my parents don’t know about my sexuality...but they will do after seeing this. I’ve come from absolutely nothing; i was on the streets at 9 years old with my mother, we both fought and fought to get to where we are now. My step-dad is like my real dad now, he’s been there for me when my original father f*cked off! I always live by the rule “it doesn’t matter who your family is; it’s who sticks around when the chips are down”.



Amy: I’m Amy from Manchester.



Amy: Hiya!
David: Hello there, what’s your name?
Amy: My name is Amy, it’s nice to meet you.
David: That’s cool, i’m David.



Amy: As you can clearly see, i’m not your average “girl”. I hate girly girls, i hate people that scream at everything. One thing that annoys me is people that go into reality shows and say they’re not like anyone else and then behave exactly the same, it’s complete rubbish. I’d say the most interesting thing i’ve ever done was winning an award for most opinionated student at school, elected by my classmates obviously. I am opinionated but you’ll find that people that listen to my opinion may disagree at first, but when they go away, they realise i was right all along.



Dean: Hi i’m Dean from Newcastle.



Dean: Hello everyone, how’s it going?
Stacey: It’s going great thanks, what’s your name love?
Dean: My name is Dean.
Stacey: Oh my god are you from Newcastle?
Dean: I am indeed pet.
Stacey: “Pet” Oh my god you’re so funny!!



Dean: Why would i want to go on a Tropical Island in the middle of summer? Why the hell not?!
We have rubbish summer after Rubbish summer in the UK, so this is like a gift really. The only outdoor experience i’ve had is that i went camping with my dad when i was five. I know nothing about outdoor things at all. The person i’d least like to spend my time with is someone that is really up themselves, someone that’s fake, someone...yeah...you get the picture.



Kieran: Hello i’m Kieran and i’m from Huddersfield.



Kieran: Hello all, it’s nice to see everyone!
Amy: Hi there, it’s nice to meet you.
Kieran: I think i’ve seen you before?
Amy: Yes you have.



Kieran: Gosh, what isn’t interesting about me. Me and Lady Gaga...ahem...sorry...me and Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta are close friends, i mean, we don’t speak and i’ve never met her, but i always believe that she knows me somehow. Me and my best friend originally auditioned for Sim Brother, but we didn’t make it, so i decided to come for this on my own. The thought of sitting on a beach with some alcohol really makes me smile...forget the survival rubbish, i’ll walk it all the way!



Ashleigh: Hello i’m Ashleigh and i’m from Warrington.





Ashleigh: Hello all; this boat is beautiful.
Kayley: Hello my name is Kayley.
Ashleigh: Hi Kayley, i’m Ashleigh.



Ashleigh: I’m what you’d call a “trashy girl”. I go out drinking every night, get home at 4am in the morning; i do sleep around as well. I just have fun, i don’t sit around being boring. I’ve had a pretty rubbish life and i really don’t want to waste the rest of it being boring. I’m going on this show because i promised my friend that i’d audition, she insisted that i audition because i’d be great. God knows how, survival skills aren’t my thing, i broke my arm rock climbing for goodness sake!



Debbie: Hello contestants, it’s nice to see you all.
All: Hey there.



Debbie: Okay; first of all, congratulations on making it as a contestant on Simvivor.
Dean: Get in!!
Kayley: (laughs) Woo!
Debbie: Now i’ve got some news for you, enjoy tonight on here because tomorrow, you’ll find that this boat will be near the island. Tomorrow, 7 of you will be arriving to the island by this boat, the other 3, will swim.



Amy: Swim?!
Debbie: Yes Amy, the 3 swimmers will get to the island by swimming. Tomorrow, you must decide who the swimmers are, and it must be a group decision.
Stacey: Surely there are water wings involved? I can’t swim to save me life.
All: (laugh)
Debbie: It’s a discussion, so i’d suggest you think carefully about who can and can’t swim. So enjoy the night contestants, alcohol will be provided.



Dean: I can swim.
Kayley: I can but there is no way this hair is being ruined so early on.
Ashleigh: I wouldn’t mind swimming to be honest.



Debbie: So, who’ll be swimming to the island? We’ll find out soon, but here’s a short video showing what the contestants got up to on the boat.

Debbie: Okay, so after that night, the contestants woke to find that they were near the island...



David: WOO! Island ahead.
Kayley: Oh wow, it looks alright doesn’t it?
Ashleigh: There’s a note here guys.
Kayley: We can rule me out of the equation because i’m not getting my hair wet.
David: What does it say?
Ashleigh: “Contestants, the time has come to select the three that will be swimming to the island, the rest will get there by boat, make your selection after reading this note”.



Dean: Right, basically, who can swim and who can’t?
Stacey: I can’t swim; i’d die in Jaws.
Kayley: (laughs) I can’t swim either.
Amy: I would swim, but i’m not comfortable really, it’s been a while.
Josh: I’d be up for it!
Dean: Right, Josh you’re in; i’ll do it as well, anyone else; come on girls!
Ashleigh: Sorry, i’m not comfortable really.
Amy: Get your own excuse (laughs).
Ashleigh: (laughs)
Sam: Oh go on then.
Dean: Right; me, Josh and Sam will be swimming.



Voice on speaker: After the sound of the horn, Dean, Josh and Sam will jump in the water and swim to the beach. (Horn blows).



Dean: This is freezing!



Ashleigh: Go on boys!
Stacey: You can do it! Just hang on in there!
Kayley: They’re not drowning! (laughs)
Stacey: Well...i’m just being supportive.



Debbie: (laughs) Don’t you just love Stacey? Okay, so as Dean, Sam and Josh were swimming towards the island, the boat took off and sailed Stacey, Kayley, Amy, Ashleigh, David, Kristen and Kieran to the island. They arrived safe and sound...the only thing was...they needed to find their way there.



Kieran: This isn’t the beach.
Kayley: These heels don’t help things much either.
Kristen: Take them off then!
Kayley: And get my feet full of sand?!
David: I think we need to walk through the trees into the island and it’ll lead us to the beach.
Stacey: Good thinking batman.



Dean: Yay we’re here.



Josh: This looks pretty cool.
Dean: I think Sam’s struggling a bit to be honest.
Josh: He’s just taking his time i think.





Kayley: Aww wow, this looks great.
Ashleigh: Oh yes, you’ll find me on that tire later.



Amy: That waterfall is absolutely beautiful.
David: Oh i can see the guys over by the beach.



Dean: Yay! You made it.
Kayley: How did it go?
Dean: Piece of piss to be honest.
Josh: Sam’s here now as well.



Sam: That wasn’t easy at all.
Josh: Ah it was freezing in that water.
Ashleigh: Well done all three of you for stepping up and going for it, we were all scared.
Stacey: Some of us had genuine reasons, like the fact that i couldn’t swim.
Dean: Right, i think it’s time to stock up on wood for the fire tonight?
Kayley: You’re keen aren’t you? There's wood already here.
Dean: I didn’t come here to sit around (laughs), besides, that won't last long.
David: There’s more to the island back there, if we go and look there’ll be wood around.
Ashleigh: I’ll come with; i want to go on the tire!



Debbie: So our 10 contestants are now safely on the island and settling in to the tropical life. But here is where things get complicated; okay, as you know the contestants will be facing a challenge soon which will decide who’s the leader of the Island, but for this week, and this week only, the contestants can win immunity from the first elimination, which will take place on Wednesday. So from today, until Sunday, the contestants will compete for immunity, then on Monday the battle for leadership will take place and on Wednesday, the two contestants who face the public vote will be eliminated. Okay, but let’s go back to the first night on the island and just show how they guys and girls settled in.



David: It’s so surreal being on this island though, i like...don’t understand it.
Kristen: I find it very overwhelming; i love how everyone wants to get on with it though.
Kayley: Dean’s wicked though isn’t he; he’s really nice and friendly.



Kayley: I think Dean is like our very own Tarzan, he just wants to get on and do things.



Kristen: I’m not used to someone wanting to do things for me, so when he says “I’ll collect the wood” i was like “Aww that’s so sweet of you.”
Sam: I think he's good to have around, if there's any trouble, i'd go and ask him.
Kayley: I may go and see what he's making for super (laughs).



Ashleigh: So how are you all finding the island then?
Amy: Pretty good, the fact that we can really explore around is great, i want to get lost tomorrow and try find my way back.
Stacey: Oh my god that’s wicked, we should do that.
Amy: I haven’t really spoken to anyone to be honest.
Ashleigh: I’ve not really, i think this is the first proper discussion i’ve had so far.
Stacey: I think i’ve spoken to everyone really, i’m dead chatty like that.
Amy: We noticed (laughs)
Ashleigh: I like having you around Stacey, you’re like a breath of fresh air.
Stacey: Aww thanks, don’t hold your breath though, i might end up being a bitch in a few weeks (laughs).



Debbie: Aww they’re all settling in; great.
