Simvivor – Episode 02

Last night ten contestants arrived to take part in the first ever series of Simvivor, they soon realised, it wasn’t all fun and games as three of them were made to swim...by their fellow contestants.



The others arrived by boat and had to walk to the beach.



It’s been one big holiday so far, but now, things get serious...



Tonight the contestants will take part in the first immunity challenge...



Who will be the first immune from elimination? It’s all happening here; on Simvivor.

First Morning:



Dean: I’m thinking that maybe we should have a meeting about the wood collecting and the basic needs of survival around here.
David: Yeah, maybe we can get a few people collecting wood each night, a few cleaning out the toilet at the end of the week etc.
Dean: Yeah, when everyone wakes up, i think we should gather everyone around the fire.



David: So i woke up this morning and Dean was pretty much talking sense to me. He seems to have a great head on him and i think he’ll keep people in line.



Ashleigh: Did you hear that Dean wants to sort out who’s doing what later?
Kayley: Yeah, to be honest, i know this will sound selfish, but i don’t want to collect wood, clean out the toilet or anything like that.
Ashleigh: (laughs) You’ll not get out of it that easy.
Kayley: (laughs) I just want to sit around and get drunk, is that too much to ask.
Ashleigh: Say something at the meeting then.



Sam: Amy, Dean wants us to have a meeting about the chores and stuff.
Amy: Chores?! It’s like being on holiday with my mother!
Sam: (laughs) Better come though, everyone’s willing to contribute.
Amy: Of course they are (laughs). I’m keeping quiet then.



Dean: I think a meeting is what we need to get things organised around here, i’m not doing the fetching and carrying all the time.



Dean: Okay, i kinda brought us all together because i want us to discuss who’s doing what around here. I’m up for doing a few things, but i think there should be an even balance to be honest.
Kirsten: I said earlier that we should split into groups, that way one group can do one thing, and the other can do...the other.
Kieran: We know where the water is, it’s back there near that waterfall, so we can collect water for the group.
Dean: That’s a great idea; it’s roasting down here, so if we can all have a bottle of water each then that’d be great.
Amy: Why do we need to collect water if it’s just up there?
Dean: Because some people may get tired of walking up there all the time.
Amy: God talk about lazy (laughs).



Ashleigh: There could be some more stuff around; i think we should explore a little.
Kayley: Yeah we’ll go and do that now.
Dean: Hang on a minute girls, i think we need to sort out what everyone else is doing.
Kieran: (whispers) Nice try Kayley.
Kayley: I was nearly out of here then.
Josh: Okay, i’m willing to go and get some stuff for the fire at night.
David: Me too.
Dean: So if Josh, David and me do the fire collecting before dark, we can keep on top of that for a while; what about cleaning out the toilets, it’s not a nice job, but it’s got to be done.
Kieran: I’m not doing that!
Stacey: Nah, i’m out of that one.



Dean: Most of the guys were willing to get their heads down...but the girls...asking them to collect something is like asking them to shave their hair off; they won’t do it.



Dean: I’m not saying everyone will do this every day, it’s just we need someone to get it started.
Kristen: Go on then, i’ll do it.
Kayley: I fancy a swim now to be honest.
Sam: Me too.
Stacey: Me three.



Dean: I think this show is about survival and those girls will have to pull their weight around soon.

Now that the meeting was over, some of the contestants got to know people a little better.



Josh: So what do you do for a living mate?
David: I'm a shop assistant, i work locally to where i live.
Josh: Ah right, how’s that?
David: It's not too bad, i'd like to get away from it because the street is quite rough. If you turn up and see no damage to the shop, it's a miracle. What do you do?
Josh: I design websites, i love it. Ever since i was a kid i've wanted to create my own design for a website. I used to print screen random sites and give them a make over, now i do it for a living.



Stacey: So who are you getting on with so far then?
Amy: Well i feel as though i have to like Dean, he’s just been so organised around here.
Stacey: Yeah Dean’s a nice guy.
Sam: I can’t be bossed around though.
Stacey: I think it’s just him though to be honest, he’s harmless with it.
Amy: Erm, i like you three and Kieran is alright. Who do you like?
Stacey: Well i like Ashleigh, you two, Kayley, Dean; i’ve not spoken to many others really.
Sam: Can i ask Stacey, what do you do for a living.
Stacey: I’m a hairdresser.
Amy: Oh god!
Stacey: (laughs) What’s wrong with that?
Amy: Nothing, it’s such a bitchy industry though.
Stacey: Ah no, it’s a laugh mostly, everyone is really nice.
Amy: It’s not my thing; i couldn't be doing with picking up people’s greasy hair for a living.



Kayley: We’ve got a good group of people i think.
Kieran: Yeah, everyone’s nice so far.
Kayley: I love Stacey; she’s totally on my wave length.
Kieran: I like her as well. I like Ashleigh too.
Kayley: I love her (laughs). Can i ask a really personal question?
Kieran: Fire away.
Kayley: Are you gay or straight?
Kieran: I’m straight, i know i talk dead camp right?
Kayley: Well...yeah...no offence.
Kieran: It’s okay, i think that my parents think i’m gay, but i’m not at all (laughs)
Kayley: Oh right, well i was going to say that there’s not a lot of fit guys here really.
Kieran: Dean’s not bad looking.
Kayley: I can’t make my mind up if he is or not, in some areas he’s hot, in others he’s not, me and Ashleigh decided he wasn’t earlier.
Kieran: (laughs)

2:00pm:

As the contestants settle down, the first challenge details arrive...



Josh: Okay guys, we’ve got tree mail this scroll here is for the first challenge.



Stacey: Oh my god.
Kieran: What is tree mail?
Dean: (laughs) Did you not read the rules before you came in, tree mail is where we receive direct instructions for challenges or other things.
Kieran: Oh.



Josh: Here goes “You’ve settled in nicely, but it’s time to get this game started; all of you must head to the challenge area; there is a map on the back of this which will guide you to it. Don’t get lost now.”



Dean: Let’s go then.
Amy: I’m as motivated as Pete Doherty in rehab.
Sam: (laughs) Come on Amy.



Dean: Here we are guys.
Kieran: This looks nice and easy.



Josh: Here goes..again...”Contestants, welcome to your first immunity challenge. Today you’re all fighting for immunity. Only two of you will be able to win this immunity. Look around, you can see one large sand area...



Josh: “...somewhere in the sand are two tiles, one is blue, the other is red. You must dig around the sand pit until two of you find the tiles and place them in the slot near the sea. The two people that find them are immune from elimination; good luck contestants, you’ll need it.”



Kayley: It could be anywhere.
Stacey: (sighs) I was happy sun bathing.



David: Do we start now?
Voice on speaker: Contestants...you may start....now!
Amy: Where do i start?
Sam: Just dig!



Kayley: Eww my nails are full of sand.
Dean: (laughs) I wish i could've put a bet on the fact that it'd be you that'd say that first.
Stacey: She's stating a fact Dean (laughs).



Amy: I keep finding gold coins.
David: (laughs) Same here, i've found two now.



Kayley: (laughs) Dean get away from my space before i kick sand at you.
Dean: (laughs) I just know that you're gonna end up finding it man.
Kayley: You're so going down Dean!



Josh: Found the blue one!



Josh: Yay!



Kristen: Oh here’s the red one!



Voice on speaker: Congratulations Josh and Kristen, you have both won immunity from the first elimination.
Kristen: Woo! Get in!
Josh: It’s such a great feeling man!

Night time:





Josh: So basically, nightfall came and it was time to get some food cooked for the group.



Ashleigh: There’s a small hatch up there that’s got some food inside.
Dean: Oh great, we can get it started then.



Amy: I kinda knew who would take over the cooking (laughs).



Dean: Okay, so should we have sausage on some bread rolls then?
Kieran: I’m happy with that.
Sam: Me too.
Dean: Sorted then. This is actually really easy.



Sam: So it’s basically hot dogs?
Dean: Yep, we don’t have any vegetarians do we?
All: Nope.
Dean: Thank god for that then.



Dean: Cooking the meal was great, it was easier than i initially thought, the sausages turned out great and i think that people really enjoyed the food. So that’s the first meal for the islanders.



Stacey: I feel sick now.
Ashleigh: (laughs) I thought it was quite nice.



So far we’ve seen two islanders win immunity; tomorrow the second challenge hits the island and this one is even tougher than the first. Who wins immunity? Find out tomorrow, on Simvivor.
